Dr. Alex Bankhead, DDS, MS
Periodontist · Utah native · Practicing in Utah Valley for 21 years
After graduating from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1994, Dr. Bankhead completed the three-year periodontal residency at the University of Nebraska, earning his Certificate of Specialization in Periodontology and a Master of Science. His master's research on human bone regeneration was one of the first studies to demonstrate histological evidence of bone regeneration in humans.
He served ten years on the faculty of Dr. Gordon Christensen's Practical Clinical Courses in Provo, teaching surgical technique in modern periodontics and implantology to dentists from around the world.
